Join us in the low profile group. Possible involvement could include activities that interest members such as a park day or fieldtrip. Those wishing to participate with CHEA but not with subgroup related activities would be accomodated in this group.

They have 4 children: Trent and Tucker (twins) age 12, Teegan age 8 and Tess age 6. They have been homeschooling for six years.

Vancini Subgroup/SW Ocala Park Days Plus

Age requirements: none
Maximum number of families: none

We are an active subgroup which meets twice monthly - once in the beginning of the month for a field trip, with the possibility of more if the occasion arises (most all local). We are very flexible with this and are open to everyone's ideas and input as we try to plan things that are suitable for all ages. Our second meeting each month is for park day, which will be held at the Liberty Park on the SW side of Ocala. Park days will be on the 3rd Friday of each month from 1:00 - 3:00 so to accommodate those who do a 5 day school week. We do some hands on educational activities, but for the most part things are low-key. Play and fellowship time, along with character building and forming long and lasting friendships are our main focus (we do enough learning at home!) We will also have various parties for the children throughout the school year for things such as Valentines Day, Christmas, etc...

This group tries to get together every other month for a mom's night out at various local restaurants. It's a great time to get together without the kids and to fellowship with other Christian homeschool mommas!

The only requirements of this group are to show up at as many get together's as possible and to have FUN!

Phil and Wendy Vancini have one son who is going into 3rd grade and they have been homeschooling for three years.
